PRAYER - Blessing Way
O Great One, I come before you in a humble manner, giving thanks for all living things in Creation. I offer the clarity of my mind, body, spirit and natural space in prayer to you, O Great One, for the spirit of all Creation. I offer thanks and what gifts I have to Four Sacred Directions and powers of the universe and I pray: To the spirit of fire in the East, To the spirit of Earth in the South, To the spirit of Water in the West, To the Spirit of Wind in the North.
I pray and give thanks to you O Great One. I pray and give thanks to Mother Earth, Father Sky, Grandfather Sun, Grandmother Moon, and all of our relations in the Greater Circle of Life. I thank you for your power, energy, wisdom and sacred gifts, because without you and the guidance of all my relations, I would not be able to live, and love, and grow, and feel and learn. I ask that I be shown another way if I have ever harmed or hurt other living things. I pray, offering what gifts I have, that you may guide us, heal us, purify us, and protect us. I pray for all of our relations that we may exist together in harmony and balance. "Wah Doh" J.T. and Michael Garrett
SPRING FULL CIRCLE 2015
Dear Friends of Full Circle:
You are invited to join us at the Chestnut Tree Inn in Cherokee, North Carolina for our Spring Full Circle weekend gathering. The date is April 24th, 25th, and 26th, 2015. Registration will begin at 6:30 PM on Friday evening with Full Circle starting at 7 PM. We will close the circle no later than noon on Sunday.
Theme: Eagle Medicine: A Way of Life.
2015 is a year for us to create a new vision for our way of life. Eagle Medicine is based on traditional Cherokee teachings of an ancient belief and way of life that has been shared by Cherokee Elders. Like the Great Eagle, these teachings take us to a higher place as we stay connected to Mother Earth. Eagle Medicine teachings allow us to sense a higher self awareness of everything around us, above and below us. Like the Eagle, we learn to better appreciate standing more upright in our feelings and awareness. Our commitment to family becomes a commitment in a circle of friends that respect and understand our way of life.
Earlier Cherokee respected and treated the Great Eagle as a sacred "flyer" that could fly higher and closer to the Great One. They respected the Eagle for its strength and commitment to family. Lessons of the Eagle, the Bear, other birds and animals showed respect and attention that were translated in a way of life for humans. We will learn more about these teachings as a way of life that we can follow towards respect, spirituality, and lessons for the Direction of the East. Join our Full Circle family of friends for Eagle Medicine in Cherokee, North Carolina.
